Dr. Amy Coulter

Dr. Amy was born and raised in the South Denver area. Her love of animals started at a very young age. As a teenager, she began volunteering at the Denver Dumb Friends League, and eventually joined the staff at a local veterinary hospital. In 1995, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from CSU, and in 2001 received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Since graduation, she has worked at well-known local veterinarian hospitals as an associate doctor, as well as a relief veterinarian.
It was through her vast experiences prior to starting Paw Prints Mobile Vet, that she realized how effective a mobile practice would be.
"I saw countless dogs and cats who were fearful or anxious about coming to the vet. I knew that if I could bring a fully equipped hospital to their house, it would be a win-win for the pet as well as the family" she states. Thus, Paw Prints was born. She enjoys the variety of going to different places each day, as well as seeing the animals in their homes. "Their true personalities shine through at home."
As a life-long animal lover and veterinarian, she is a strong believer in the human animal bond. She treats her patients as if they were her own.
Amy and her husband Kirk live on a small ranchette in Elizabeth, CO. There you will find a menagerie of pets, of all shapes and sizes. Along with the animals, you will find their four children, ages 3-10, as well as Amy's mother. It is never a dull moment.
